Ranu Mukherjee makes pictures with digital media, pigment and text which complicate distinctions between material and immaterial phenomenon while examining aspects of survival and excess. She seeks to engage with the liminal by mobilizing fiction, physical consciousness and futurism.

Ranu is a member ‘orphan drift’, a collective artist originally based in London. She is currently co-creating another artistic entity 'Peritopia' and trying to make a machine for growing tentacles.
