She carries the heads of protesters and fashion models from which begin to pour a staticky gray substance that I call body noise. Swirling dust is followed by distant flames and then clear sky. Commentary: In the making this work became a meditation on post 9/11 US. It is set in an actual place that has mythical dimensions (high desert). It taught me something about ways to embed political references as elemental, which I think will help me to develop this new work.
